Police action in Sushant's death
The suicide news of Sushant Singh Rajput had shocked the country which popped up the existence of nepotism in the Bollywood.
Sushant Singh Rajput |
The fans of Sushant Singh Rajput and his families members suspected that he hadn’t committed suicide.
They claim that Sushant was either compelled to suicide or he might be murdered. However, Mumbai Police claimed that Sushant Singh Rajput was committed suicide but the pressure of Media and Fans compelled to investige the angle of other than suicide.
Although the Mumbai Police investigation did not satisfy their fans and families and therefore, the fans started demanding for CBI enquiry to bring out the truth behind his death.
Meanwhile, Sushant’s father, Sh. K.K.Singh, lodged an FIR in Patna against his death. After this, the Superintendent of Police of Patna, Sh. Vinay Tiwari, went to Mumbai to investigate the case. However, he was quarantined by Mumbai Police due to which he was unable to investigate the case. Even this police officer didn’t get full cooperation up to the level by the Mumbai Police and therefore, Patna SP was compelled to return to Patna.
Mumbai Police |
The theory of Mumbai Police is quite different from the Patna Police. Mumbai Police was suspected by the Sushant’s family and fans that it is in the process to save someone in Bollywood as well VIPs and therefore, his death was assumed as a suicide by them, whereas, Patna Police claim that it was a cold blooded murder and therefore, proper investigation is required.
Meanwhile, the Bihar Government has recommended the CBI enquiry for Sushant's case. This brought a great relief to the fans and families of Sushant. No doubt, Indian electronics and print media also played a crucial role behind the recommendation of CBI enquiry, however, the police of both states claimed that they could solve this case but both have their own theories. The central agencies,i.e; CBI and ED start their investigation which will certainly bring out the truth behind the death to his fans and family members.
CBI Headquarters |
Fortunately, when the CBI enters into the investigation of this case, it is capable enough to solve, however, stain is also visible on this investigative agency but the size of stain can be ignored.
Unfortunately, the different theories of two state police certainly bring down the faith of police among the common men. In India, it is not possible to send most of the cases to CBI as it is already overburdened. The transfer of cases from local police to the CBI shows the weakened portion of Indian Police that it always acts according to their political boss which is not good for a democratic country. The constitution of India has assigned different tasks to different agencies of this country and if they do not deliver their duty as per standard procedure and start blaming one another, it will certainly put the democracy of this country in danger.
Let if these two state police collaborated to find out the reasons behind the death of Sushant, the faith of common men on police would certainly rise. Both police have very talented officers to solve the mystery of Sushant’s death but the inference of political boss in the police system normally diverts the track of police action.
Meanwhile, the news came from social media that Vinay Tiwari, Patna S.P was transferred to CBI to assign the investigation of Sushant’s death shows that the same officer is capable to solve the case when he is given free hand.
It shows that there is a need for police reforms so that political interference may be nulled. Police reforms would provide an opportunity to Indian Police to act independently to maintain law and order. And if the police reform is not implemented in a time limit, it would reduce the trust of common men and therefore, incidents like mob lyching are increased nowadays.
Normally, people think that these culprits will be released by the police and if the police file the chargesheet in the court, the procedure of penalising criminals is time taking and exhausting.
No doubt, the Central Government is well aware of the condition of Indian Police and therefore, the modernisation and digitalization of Police is accelerated. Additionally, these police are required to reform to improve the working culture in place political wish to the wish of common men.
During the time of lock down from the mid of March 2020 to July 2020 or until the unlocking process is started, the face of Indian police showed that it works for the common men. But the non cooperation between Mumbai Police and Bihar Police will again reduce the trust. The trust on police is required to be maintained for which Police of different states should have to collaborate to reduce the crimes in place of blaming one another.
It is well known that Indian democracy is reached at the age of 70 which means that it is matured now and therefore, all the agencies should have to act as per their standard which will further add moonlight in this country.
Wish for the best.
Jai Hind.
